Meet Ron DuKatz, Chief Operations Officer

This month, we’re proud to introduce Ron DuKatz, our Chief Operations Officer, whose problem-solving mindset, steady leadership, and genuine care for people help keep SFA running smoothly behind the scenes.

💼 The Engine Behind the Experience

Ron joined Savaglia Financial Advisors in March of 2021 as a consultant and stepped into his full-time role as Chief Operations Officer in 2022. In that time, he has become a cornerstone of the firm’s day-to-day operations.

As COO, Ron’s focus is on operational efficiency and consistency, ensuring that every Client, Prospect, Partner, and Vendor receives an exceptional experience — while also creating a supportive, high-quality working environment for SFA’s Financial Advisors and Client Services team members.

His responsibilities include daily monitoring and management of outstanding activities, client and prospect follow-up, and the continuous improvement of policies and procedures to ensure work is completed accurately and on time. He also supports the firm through technology solutions, facilities oversight, and general business needs that enhance how services are delivered.

🧠 A Passion for Problem Solving

Ask Ron what he enjoys most about his role, and the answer is simple:

“I enjoy solving problems and providing solutions that help improve the lives of others.”

That mindset applies both externally — helping clients, prospects, partners, and vendors — and internally, supporting advisors and client services team members so they can focus on what matters most: the clients.

Ron’s love for numbers and systems naturally led him to the financial industry, where he enjoys using his skills to help people succeed in planning for their financial future and retirement.

One of his proudest accomplishments at SFA has been contributing to the development of internal tools for managing client accounts, along with implementing weekly advisor meetings that help the team stay on top of client cases and deliver proactive service.

🎯 What Makes Ron Successful

Ron attributes his effectiveness in a support role to two key strengths:

• Strong problem-solving skills
• The ability to quickly connect the dots

These qualities allow him to anticipate needs, streamline processes, and support both internal teams and external relationships with confidence and clarity.

🏡 Milwaukee Roots & Life Outside the Office

Ron was born and raised on the south side of Milwaukee and has lived in the area his entire life. After graduating from college in Valparaiso, Indiana, he moved to the southern suburbs upon getting married more than 33 years ago — but Milwaukee has always been home.

Outside of work, Ron is a sports enthusiast and spent many years coaching youth football and girls’ select basketball. Family is central to his life — he’s married to his high school sweetheart, and together they are blessed with a son, a daughter, and many beloved family dogs over the years. With extended family nearby, southeastern Wisconsin is where their roots — and hearts — remain.

✨ Faith, Fun & Favorite Things

In 1998, Ron and his mentor launched ThyDailyWord.org, a website dedicated to providing Biblical tools for studying God’s Word daily — a project rooted in faith and service.

If he could have lunch with anyone, past or present, Ron would choose to walk alongside the disciples on the road to Emmaus, hearing firsthand how Jesus explained the Scriptures and their meaning.

His favorite motto says a lot about his outlook on life:

“Every day is a snowflake.”
Life is full of variety and unique challenges that make it worth living.

When it’s time to unwind, you’ll likely find Ron enjoying good views and good company at a local beer garden, and he is looking forward once again to sitting at his favorite spot overlooking the lake at Bass Bay Brewhouse patio when they are able to reopen again this summer.

In three words, Ron describes himself as: Child of God.

And if you catch him laughing or cracking a joke around the office — that’s no surprise. Ron loves finding humor in everyday moments, which is exactly where his well-known Dad Jokes come from.
